Spain

My annual trip to Spain to see my parents seems to coincide with the stormy season, a pure coincidence seeing as storms can form at any time but others are convinced I plan it that way! No shots this year like the Barcelona one from last year, but some came out ok nevertheless.

We had storms every day, here you can see looking back towards the mountains from the beach, as cb's start to grow.

Taken at nearly the same time as the above but looking out to sea. This particular storm eventually grew into the one below, which followed us home into the hills and became quite heavy.
You can see the leading boundary here, plenty of fast moving scud in this lot. Also plenty of lightning by now, slightly too early in the day for lightning shots (though I did try).
This was taken a little further to the left, same night. The hill under this picture always seemed to have a cloud covering it, day or night. Here the gust front takes a turn for the better, and we can see a little more structure.
After 10 or 20 mins it now looks like this, very mean. I have no real idea what it's doing, but it was good to watch!
The above reached us and it poured, once it stopped we had plenty of lightning, which is always nice.
I missed 'Lost' for this..... worth it :)
A lovely piece of lightning, wish it was all in shot!
Taken the next day, growing cumulus. These never came our way so we only got distant lightning at night.
Taken the following day, more low level cloud that looks like you could reach up and touch it. This also turned into a thunderstorm but in the day. As we were right under it there isn't much you can do but listen to the rain and thunder.
And this was taken whilst driving back to the airport, having just driven through the heaviest rain I think I've come across!
