V I R G I N I A W A T E R S

I have recently started working right next to Virginia Waters. This is known mainly for it's lake, but I work by the woods end, and it's pretty stunning. There are pathways all over, red wood trees, deer, woodpeckers etc. I get an hour at lunch, which is normally the wrong time of day for photo's but it's so dense in there the light comes through really nicely. Now, if only all the dog walkers would go away, it would be 100x nicer.

Below is my favourite path at the moment. I like to stand there and listen to what's going on around me, it's non stop.

Typical summer view, the ferns are now really high and I could do with a ladder, would look weird though.
There are so many trees to shoot, this is a quick go at the first one, think I need to crop a third off the bottom.

Erm... slow mo of a drainage pipe!

This was taken another day. I had seen a deer or two, so today I took just the long lens and went out hunting deer. To my surprise I caught two.
They are both roe deer, but look like crosses between hares and kangaroos. This one below was quite timid, and just disappeared without a fuss back amongst the ferns.
