Went out hoping for lightning, storms were coming in, they weren't electric but I wasn't tired and figured if I didn't go, and they fired up I would be rather disappointed. Of course the storms just died on us, but we did get to see a Noctilucent cloud display, which almost made up for it. These clouds are only seen at this time of year, they are very high, high enough to still reflect the sun long after it's set.
They show up as a really strong blue. We had lots of
clouds going over so did some long exposures to try and get them to show
up a little more.
I think some of the exposures were up to a minute, would
preferred to have been doing this with lightning but it's better than
nothing!
