Decided to go out somewhere with a friend specifically to take photo's. We had no idea where to go, we narrowed it down to somewhere with running water as we wanted to use our new grad and nd filters. Ended up thinking of the coast, and figured Kimmeridge Bay as it's a nice surf spot on the south coast, and not too far from here. Turned out to be a really lovely place, will definitely be going back again. It was a sunny day but as we got there a mist hung over the place, making it a little flat. We could see waves breaking on a point in the distance, so clambered our way round, this gave us a good feel for the place too.

As we got to where the waves were, I noticed the weed rearing up in the wave, this wasn't easy to capture but here are a couple of attempts.

It was hard to bring out the colour of the weed without washing out the glare on the flat water.
The filters weren't great at first, I got a real purple tinge when I added two together, but with only one I could get the below.

This is the other side of the slab, just trying to capture any wave breaking at all. No idea what that island is out there.

This is facing into the bay, Clovell Tower in the distance. No real colour in this as the mist was heavy, you can see it on the hills there, so I changed it to black and white.
Another one I changed to black and white. All using the nd filters of course! Loads of fossils amongst those rocks, we spent as much time fossil hunting as shooting.
Took this of the bay right as we went to go home. Most of our shots were taken on the furthest point, it's not as far as it looks.
