J U L Y C H A S E
Have had some thundery days recently, not managed to get out though. This happened on the 24th July, couple of troughs coming over the south, one particularly strong line was about to come over at the same time s my lunch :) So I jumped in the car and got to the pond as I figured views would be better there. This first pic is of a storm that was in front of the line, very sporadic thunder thought. Those marks you can see are sea gulls.
As I came back round the pond this was the leading edge
of the line. I started to hurry as I knew how much rain was in it.
The below shows some of the convection taking place
just ahead of the line.
Getting real dark now...
Starting to rain, so this was the last pic. Had to run
to the car but got pretty soaked. Nice to hear some real close thunder
at last though!
