Someone at work came in with a picture of a drop hitting the water, so had to have a go. It's really not easy, the below shot is a bowl filled right up, the blue is from a tray underneath, the focus is manual so approx the middle, I then needed the shutter speed to be fast enough to capture it and use the available light. It took some goes to get this. |

And this one was in the same session but zoomed in.

I believe I then put an orangy towel underneath but
pretty much the same set up.

That orange blob in the reflection of the drop is a strategically placed flower, didn't really work! |

This is now another session, read a load and tried it
differently. This is looking down onto the droplet, unfortunately you
can see the wooded table underneath.

I was using different coloured card, one bit underneath,
one behind. You can't really tell in this one...

But you can in this one, more than one drop hitting
the water though.

I tried pouring water to see what effect this gave,
the focus is on the drops and seems to work ok. Hard going though!

This is probably my favourite, another poured one but
really sharp, which made a change.

Last one, different coloured card again. Not sure I
will try this again for a while as it's quite stressful, there must be
easier ways to do it!
